This is a solid wood Shoveler drake decoy that has been repainted by Lisa Byrd. It is signed. Painted in 2004. This decoy was handcarved by my grandfather for practical gunning purposes in approx. mid to late 1920's.
The original finish was so faded, that I decided to and send it to Lisa Byrd who did an outstanding job of giving this bird Shoveler colors. Custom Ronan oils - very nice detail.
Measures 15-1/2" long by 5-1/2" wide and sits 6-3/4" high. Straight head. Glass eyes. This one has a personality.
Condition is Very Fine. No flaws.
